The Oviken mountains will provide the active cross-country-skier with plenty of tour possibilities during the long winter season. At Galå Fjällgård as well as in the surrounding area, there are well-prepared ski-trails.
Wether along the marked winter trails in the flat country or in the mountains, skiing in this peaceful winter landscape will easily become a marvellous experience.

	Ski-trails at Galå Fjällgård 2-10 km, 4 ski-trails Four own ski-trails with 2 km, 4 km, 5 km and 10 km are starting from the log homes wintertime. Natural snow and unspoiled mountain landscape is guaranteed during the ski day. The ski-trails are suitable for beginners but also the more experienced skier will face some challenges. We are offering rental skis for our cross-country guests.
	Ski-trails in Åsarna 72 km in total, 12 ski trails The small town of Åsarna lies in the southeast of Galå Fjällgård and is the cross-country skiing centre of northern Sweden. Åsarna is also called „guldbyn“ - gold-village - since the local ski athletes won several international gold medals. The systems of ski-trails counts 72 km including a lighted trail of 3,5 km. A minor fee will be charged for the trails and can be paid at the Åsarna Skicenter. Åsarna is also home for annual sled dog competitions, e.g. the Nordic Open. 	Ski-trail in Persåsen 2 km, illuminated ski run A short prepared ski-trail is located in Persåsen at the beginning of the moutain pasture road to Galå Fjällgård. The trail is 2,4 km long and will be lighted at evening time. Starting point is at the parking site of the hotel Wikners in Persåsen.
	Ski touring Back country skiing is possible along marked winter trails or snowmobile tracks across natural country. The different tours can be started righ away from the blockhouses. More information under ski touring.
