Sporting events

	Winter sports have a long tradition in Sweden. Much experience, professionalism and warm hospitality characterise the events and fill both visitors and participants with enthusiasm.
	Jämtland is becoming more and more popular as a venue for big sporting events. The snow certitude from december to april, generous training facilities and a well-developed infrastructure make the events a success. The start of the biathlon season 2006/2007 in Östersund from November 29th until December 3rd is also the start of a number of thrilling sporting events within the next 2 years.
