GALÅ FJÄLLGÅRD

	Galå Fjällgård is a family-run moutain logde at the base of the Oviken mountains (Oviksfjäll) in the Swedish region of Jämtland. Close to the mountain pasture Galåbodarna we are living together with children Hannes and Elina and the dog Tosca as the only year-round inhabitants. In this unique fascinating nature we are offering tranquility and recreation for our guests in newly build loghomes as well as various outdoor activities.
	In the year 2004 we moved from Germany to Sweden. Nevertheless the plan to settle down in Sweden has maturated slowly over the past years. Originally we both are coming from the franconian (Bavaria) region around Erlangen/Nuremberg.
	Since 1995 we have been travelling around the scandinavian countries during our holidays. We drove through Sweden, Norway, Finland and even up to Iceland with our Volkswagen mini bus. There we discovered a lot of untouched nature and a experienced a tranquile way of living.
	During our studies of economics in Germany we also passed a term at Linköpings university of Sweden and the wish came up to extend the stay in the country. We found faithfull friends who have supported us with our project during all the years.
	Planning and preparation for start-up of our own company has taken many years of work until today. In the years 1999/2000 we lay the cornerstone and bought the originally left piece of land comprising 23 hectare. Until 2006 we built the four blockhouses which are for rent now with a lot of portion active work.
	Sweden represents for us plenty of untouched nature nearby and best conditions for our favoured intrests like hiking and skiing. Our experienced highlights definitely comprise the ascent of Sweden's highest mountain, the Kebnekaise, long-distance hikes on the King's trail, in the mountains of Ammarfjället, in the Muddus nationalpark or in the Norwegian mountains of Jotunheimen.
